He was a priest, composer and organist. He began studies at the age of eight, when he entered the Capella de Santa María, which Salvador Puigsec conducted in Igualada. He continued his studies with Il·luminat Saperas, with Vicens María de Gibert in Barcelona and with his brother Josep Muset in Vic. In 1916 he held the position of organist of the Seminari de Barcelona. In 1918 he was a professor at the Colegi de Vocacions Religioses de Valencia where he founded the Schola Cantorum.
Between 1923 and 1925 he studied in Paris with Abel Decaux and worked as organist and Chapel Master at Saint-Étienne du Mont. He returned Barcelona and ?became a Chapel Master and organist of Santa María del Mar Church. During the Civil War he lived in Valencia (1936-1939) and later returned to Barcelona. He was also an organ teacher at the Liceu Conservatory of Music between 1957 and 1979.
He composed more than twenty masses, thirty antiphons, songs for voice and piano, numerous works for organ, two “Teatre Líric” works for choir and orchestra, and many other compositions, most of them religious.
